WEBI bought and returned 2 gamestop refurbished within a week, then when I argued they agreed to credit the purchase price to a new ps4. The first fat ps4 sounded like a jet engine. The second slim ps4 stopped working within 24 hours. I wouldn't recommend refurbished.

WEBGameStop used to have a reputation for poorly refurbishing consoles. I've bought used from them many times, I got a PS3 Slim from them refurbished that stopped working after a month and a New 3DS that came out of box with the corner of the top screen popped out a little and grease marks all over the console itself.

WEBAug 13, 2021 · Buying a PS4 Pro for $550 at this point, that is not even brand new, is just plain stupid. That's more expensive than a brand new disk-based PS5. Moreover, Gamestop should be the last place you ever consider buying a used console. Used consoles sold at Gamestop are mostly preoned systems traded in by customers.

WEBA switch pro controller used doesn't include the usb-c charging cable. This would've really sucked had I not already purchased a new pro controller previously. A steam controller used doesn't include the cables or wireless dongle, which makes the controller nearly useless.

WEBJan 11, 2021 · I used to work at gamestop and thats literally ALL they do to test a console. You literally see the extent of the "Testing" right in front of you before you trade the console in. The console Warranty is also true, if you get a bad one, you can easily just swap it out for another one until u get one thats good.

WEBWell, it's outdated and still uses a HDD instead of an SSD and depending on the age and use, that HDD might fail on you at some point. Besides that, Sony asked devs to abandon the PS4 and focus on the PS5 and the good thing is that PS4 games are playable on the PS5 and most recent ones might even get you a PS5 update.

WEBMay 18, 2024 · This is why I stopped buying used, company’s will buy up anything used and push it out without checking. Few years ago my friend sold a ps4 to the pawn shop. He sold it cause every time you went online it instantly gave a message saying system was too hot and it would turn off.

Refund of purchase is dependent on what you used to pay for the system, i.e. if you used store credit you will only get store credit back, if you used half cash half store credit and so forth.

WEBMay 27, 2021 · Like others said, I wouldn’t buy a used controller because of stick drift. A better option is to buy a new controller and spend the extra $10 on the 2 year warranty. GameStop has a legendary warranty system (their only good attribute).
