Vinesh Phogat, Julana Election Results highlight: Phogat wins from Julana by 6000 votes, says ‘victory of struggle’
Wrestler Vinesh Phogat is contesting from Julana seat on a Congress ticket. If Phogat proves successful it will be the first time in 19 years that the grand old party wins here. In Haryana however, BJP seems to have gained lead in 46 seats.
Vinesh Phogat wins from Haryana’s Julana seat
Congress leader Vinesh Phogat has won the Julana Assembly seat by 6,015 votes, as per the Election Commission. In her first-ever election, she defeated BJP’s Yogesh Kumar. NC president Farooq Abdullah said his son and party vice president Omar Abdullah will be chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir.
