In a previously unreported letter seen by Reuters, DJI notified distributors that U.S. Customs and Border Protection is citing the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA) in withholding some drones from being imported into the U.S.

The Customs cited the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA) as a reason for the blockage, which DJI says is part of a broader initiative by the Department of Homeland Security to scrutinize the origins of products, particularly in the case of Chinese-made drones.

US Customs and Border Protection is apparently blocking some of the imports over concerns the drones were made with forced labor. But DJI says it has evidence denying this.

"The U.S. makes false accusations against China's normal trade with Russia, just as it continues to pour unprecedented military aid into Ukraine," the spokesperson said. "This is (the) typical double standard, and extremely hypocritical and irresponsible."
