Here's what we know so far about The Rings of Power season 3 ahead of the hit Prime Video show's likely renewal.

Prime Video is expecting more “growth and momentum” for Season 2 over time, though as Deadline previously reported, the series has been struggled to retain a large portion of its Season 1 audience. Samba TV data shows that the Season 2 premiere episode drew half the audience that the first episode of Season 1 drew in less time.

The Rings of Power Season 2 Episode 8 “Shadow and Flame” ended with the fall of Eregion, the rise of Sauron (Charlie Vickers), and the promise of more action still to come. The second season of the Prime Video hit perfectly set the stage for Sauron to finally forge the One Ring,

But now, it has gone down to #2 behind a surprising new series that is apparently drawing a number of eyes. It’s not a scripted show, but a three-part docuseries called Evolution of the Black Quarterback, an examination of black quarterbacks in the NFL, hosted by Michael Vick.
