Saoirse Ronan addressed rumors she would be in Greta Gerwig's forthcoming reimagining of 'The Chronicles of Narnia.'

Saoirse Ronan is ready to direct and is sharing the advice her frequent collaborator Greta Gerwig gave her about taking on the role. The 30-year-old actress - who stars in and produced the Sony Pictures Classics film The Outrun - said she has aspirations to take on more behind-the-camera roles after producing for the first time.

Saoirse Ronan is opening up about the Greta Gerwig Chronicles of Narnia casting rumors. Following the massive success of 2023’s Barbie, it was announced that Gerwig had signed on to direct at least two films based on C.

Speaking to Variety last year, Netflix's then-film chief Scott Stuber said of Gerwig's work with Narnia: "Obviously, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is kind of the preeminent one, but there's such an interesting narrative form [to the Narnia series] if you read all of them."

In 2018, streaming giant Netflix snagged the rights to C.S. Lewis’ beloved fantasy novels, The Chronicles of Narnia. Ever since, rumours have swirled around the franchise, which Netflix hinted could be transformed into ‘both movies and series’.
