East Lansing police are investigating human remains found inside a home's freezer last week, officials said. Officers were called Thursday to a home in the 1500 block of Wintercrest Street off of Coolidge Road between Interstate 69 and West Lake Lansing Road for a report of a suspicious situation, the department said in a statement.

Human remains have been located inside a freezer at a property in Michigan. The unidentified remains of two people were found by authorities in a freezer at a residence in the 1500 block of Wintercrest Street in East Lansing, Mich., at around 12:08 p.m. on Nov. 7, the East Lansing Police Department stated in a release.
