Troopers: Pedestrian hit , killed while walking on highway in Spartanburg
SPARTANBURG, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - Troopers with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said a pedestrian was hit and killed in Spartanburg early Monday morning. According to troopers, around 5:54 a.m., the pedestrian was walking in the road along Highway 29 when a Chevy SUV hit them. The pedestrian passed away on scene.

SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – A pedestrian was hit and killed in Spartanburg County early Monday morning. According to the State Highway Patrol, at around 5:54 a.m. a person was driving an SUV on Highway 29 near Shannon Woods Drive when they struck a pedestrian. The pedestrian was pronounced dead on the scene.
One shot in Spartanburg County, suspect arrested
The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office said they have arrested the suspect, 34-year-old Steve Phommachanh, of Spartanburg. Phommachanh has been charged with murder, burglary, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, and attempted murder. He is currently being held at the Spartanburg County Detention Center.
