The Transformers franchise has been around for decades, and it's brought us many toys, TV shows and movies. Now, in the new animated film Transformers One, the origin story of Optimus Prime and Megatron finally gets told.

A badly needed reboot that will reinvigorate the franchise into a brilliant future for fans of those irresistible robots in disguise, regardless of their age.

There are, happily, no human characters in this film. What a smart move this is for “Transformers One.” The terrific animation makes that possible for this reboot (and, I hope, for the sequels that soon will follow.
